Tricia Doyle
Insurance specialist

Tricia is a respected member of our team with years of experience in the insurance industry. Tricia is well-versed in the area of insurance, specializing in no-fault legislation. She managed a multifaceted claims department for a large insurer overseeing and training staff handling a variety of claims.

Tricia came to work at the firm in 2000 and developed a claims department and computer system for the Walkerton Class Action, which had over 5,000 clients.

Tricia organized the Joseph Brant Class Action, handling over 300 clients and reviewed their medical charts to establish common elements for damage assessments. Tricia will continue in this role under the new firm entity of PJKJ Law.

Marlene DeMelo
Law Clerk

Marlene began at Stanley M. Tick and Associates over 10 years ago as a clerk working on the Walkerton Class Action. Over the years, Marlene has developed her career and will continue as a Law Clerk in the new entity, PJKJ Law. Marlene brings a caring and dedicated approach to the clients along with a professionalism that is truly reflective of the highest standards in the industry.

Dr. K.N. Jeejeebhoy
Medical consultant

Dr. Khursheed Jeejeebhoy received his medical degree from the Christian Medical College Hospital in Vellore, India in 1959. Dr. Jeejeebhoy was the past Division director of Gastroenterology at the University of Toronto and the Toronto General Hospital, where he established and directed a program for the postgraduate training of clinical and academic gastroenterologists.

Currently he is Director of the Home parenteral nutrition program and staff physician at St. Michael’s Hospital. He is also a Emeritus Professor of Medicine, cross appointed to the Department of Nutritional Sciences at the University of Toronto. He continues to practice gastroenterology at the Polyclinic. He continues his research interests through his position on the executive of the Canadian Malnutrition Task Force and as a committee member of the Canadian Clinical Practice Guidelines for Nutrition in Intensive Care.

Dr. Jeejeebhoy has published over 500 peer-reviewed articles, abstracts and book chapters to date and continues to actively publish.

He has received numerous awards throughout his career including the McCollom award from the American Society of Clinical Nutrition, the British Society of Gastroenterology, a Research Awards from the Department of Medicine, University of Toronto, and the Canadian Association of Gastroenterology and Distinguished Service Award from the Ontario Association of Gastroenterology. He has been elected senior member of the Canadian Medical Association. In 2010 he recently received the Gold medal from the Canadian Association of Physicians of Indian Origin. Association of Physicians of Indian Origin. The Canadian Society of Nutrition established the Khursheed Jeejeebhoy Award for excellence in Clinical Nutrition. In 2011 he received the Mentor award from the American Gastroentrological Association Institute.

 

Sandra Perron
Law Clerk

Sandra Perron has been a litigation consultant for 23 years.  She works across Canada on complex medical malpractice cases from the commencement of the proceedings up to and including trial.  She has assembled and maintains an extensive database of medical experts with whom she consults on a daily basis.

Sandra Perron is a member of the Holland Group, which is a group composed of members of the Plaintiff and Defence (both hospital and physician) Bars in Ontario and chaired by The Honourable Mr. Justice Coulter Osborne.   She has published in The Litigator, Journal of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association.

For the last 10 years, Sandra Perron has also held bi-annual conferences for nurses providing education and training for legal nurse consulting.
